A few words about us …
Well where do we start? founded by three Yorkshire Business Women who identified a gap in the market for a fun, creative, relaxed environment where businesses could meet, learn and bloom.
Now this could be the place where we list our CV’s and explain our virtues but when we read other peoples profiles we like to be a bit nosey and know the stuff that they wouldn’t put on a CV so here is a quick round robin so you get to know us a bit better
Katie Mays
My day job is spreading the full colour word of Printing.com throughout Barnsley, and I’m the creative Thinker at Bskope. Day to day I can be found keeping the office afloat and speaking to the good and great of Yorkshire about how to give their business a style all of their own, enough about the day job on to the questions... For Bloom I’m the creative facilitator – from how our events and website look to the overall strategies and communication of what we do and how we do it; I’m the one that underpins the Bloom phenomena.

Working part time in a greetings cards shop, there was something strangely satisfying about straightening the cards up on display and scraping the price sticker off at the till for customers.

Bess of Hardwick and Chatsworth, one of the first women entrepreneurs, not forgetting that she couldn’t half build a good house.

I’ve recently become a (very proud) Mummy to our first Bloom Baby, Isabelle so that’s my main job – the best in the world! My role in Bloom is to bring all the creative ideas from Katie and Victoria together and make it a reality. From speccing venues to checking we have all the facilities required, I make the Bloom Events come alive.

My favourite previous job has to be Operations Manager for an estate agency in Sheffield. Being "Mrs Organised" I am obsessed with To Do Lists and surrounding myself with checklists and tick sheets is like my heaven!!

Boring and predictable but I would like to spend a week in the life of the Queen, quite fancy having a go at being in control of the country!

It would have to be to have super speed-that way there might be chance of me getting everything done on my list!
